Undoubtedly animals are my favorite thing to paint. I think that we share this Globe with some unbelievably beautiful and fascinating creatures, and I want my art to serve as a reminder to all, especially to the youngest audience. I want to gently address numerous animal and environmental issues, the problem of “over urbanization”, animal cruelty and human greed. Some of my works also symbolize my early childhood and associated with that period thoughts and perceptions of the role and treatment of animals.
Acrylic is my favorite medium when painting on canvas or board. I often experiment with backgrounds giving it rough wall-like texture. Then I use large brush strokes as if I was painting a mural. For murals and all kinds of decorative wall painting I love using interior or exterior latex- both media dry fast what allows me to manipulate the paint continuously make desired changes while executing work. I choose vibrant colors and strong contrast. Wherever my art is being present I want it to really be present, be visible and bring the place to life.
I want my art to have a strong appeal to the viewer and at the same . I am hopeful that I may some day be able to change humans’ perception of animals and have a voice in that matter that may actually be heard, and that to some extend bear with it a positive influence for a better future for the natural life all over the world.
